On November 1, 2024, Azerbaijani and Brazilian NGOs held a meeting to discuss joint efforts to combat climate change.
At the meeting, Ramil Iskandarli, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijani National NGO Forum, the initiator of the COP29 NGO Coalition, Urfan Sarkarov, a member of the Forum, and Renata Koch, a member of the COP29 NGO Coalition, head of the “Empodera Klima” organization, Alina Lara, the representative of the “Igarape” Institute, which has observer status in the UNFCCC, Valdeniza Vasques, the representative of “Coordenação das Organizações Indígenas da Amazônia Brasileira” organization and Alana Mancineri, the consultant of “CNPC do MINC” organization participated.
At the meeting, the unique experience of Azerbaijan regarding the COP29 NGO Coalition was discussed, and the principle of inclusiveness in this Coalition was emphasized.
